About - Brand Bonsall MA, CMHC
Life is a journey isn’t it?! If I could go back and talk to my 22 year-old self, I think I’d say, “don’t worry about the future so much, you have no idea what it’s going to look like!”
I grew up in Nebraska and am still an avid Nebraska Cornhusker and Kansas City Royals baseball fan. I attended The University of Nebraska Kearney earning a BA in Business Communication. I set out on a career in business and sales. After ten years of a rather successful but unfulfilling career I decided to make a “left turn in life,” and attend graduate school to be a therapist.
I attended Northern Arizona University and earned my MA, Clinical Mental Health Counselor degree. My therapy career began as a wilderness field staff, then a wilderness therapist, residential therapist, and now as a private practice therapist in St. George, UT. This variety of experience allows me to understand the multitude of options, opportunities, and confusion that life can offer.
Personally I am a lover of the outdoors and all spaces in the southwest. I explore on bike, foot, and snowboard. I have a rowdy family of five and we love living room dance parties, bike rides, playgrounds, hide and seek, visits from grandma and grandpa, and time with our friends and their kids.
As I look at my life I realize that one of my favorite quotes fits so well: “Life is hard AND it’s beautiful. Don’t forget to look for the beauty in life, it’s all around us.”
