Coaching - Speaking Your Language
Returning Home
Your child is returning home after an extended stay in a wilderness therapy or residential treatment environment. You have been working diligently on yourself, your boundaries, and your listening skills for months and possibly years. You have created the home plan, had practice conversations with your child and his/her/their therapist, and it is time to bring your child home.
What an incredibly exciting time! Your child is coming home! And yet, you are freaking out (or at least experiencing some anxiety). Questions like, “can I really do this, is he/she/they ready, what if everything falls apart,” continue to run through your head. It’s ok, take a breath, I can help.
Coaching
I have eight years experience in wilderness therapy and residential treatment centers. I “speak the language” of treatment. I understand many of the traumas and struggles you and your child went through, the difficult choice of sending your child away, and the hope and fear you may be experiencing bringing them home.
I will work with your child as their at home coach. I will provide weekly online sessions to check in on their goals, home plan, successes, struggles, relationships, and overall mental and physical health.
I also partner with several family specialists who can provide additional family support.
With support your family can do this!
